FOUNDER
My name is Colton Bayduza, founder of A1 Wear Works. From a young age, I’ve always had a passion for helping people succeed through my life motto — the 3 R’s: Respect, Relationships, and Responsibility. Whether through sports, school, business, or community involvement, I’ve always been driven by supporting people’s ideas, goals, and dreams.
Growing up, I moved throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, attending seven schools in twelve years. Constantly adapting to new environments helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships with people from all walks of life. Those experiences shaped who I am today and continue to influence how I approach both business and customer relationships.
After high school, I attended Ambrose University for one year, where I studied business and played basketball. While the experience taught me valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, and leadership, I realized that the traditional university path wasn’t the right fit for me. I’ve always been a hands-on learner — someone who learns best by creating, building, and gaining real-world experience.
My passion for leadership and personal growth also led me into direct-to-door sales, where I gained valuable experience not only in sales, but in mentorship and team development. As a leader, I trained and developed individuals to grow both professionally and personally, helping them build confidence, communication skills, discipline, and a strong work ethic. That experience strengthened my ability to connect with people, lead by example, and create lasting relationships built on trust and respect.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I saw an opportunity to turn my passion into something bigger. Driven by determination and belief in the vision of A1 Wear Works, I secured funding within just one week to purchase three commercial embroidery machines and two heat press machines — all while battling a stomach ulcer at the same time. That experience tested my resilience, work ethic, and commitment to building something meaningful from the ground up.
Today, A1 Wear Works is built on more than just apparel — it’s built on relationships, trust, and helping others bring their ideas to life. My goal is to provide high-quality products, exceptional customer service, and a genuine commitment to every individual, team, and business we work with.
